1. Caffè Super Veloce

Located at 1112 Hamilton St, Caffè Super Veloce combines a sleek, modern design with high-quality coffee. The café is well-equipped with reliable Wi-Fi, making it a top choice for those who need a productive workspace. If you need an outlet, there is one table located near a power source so it’s the luck of the draw to grab this spot.

Luckily I find that this cafe is often not busy which is why it’s one of my favourite spots to work downtown.

The inviting atmosphere and excellent espresso at Caffè Super Veloce make it a favourite spot for working or studying. My husband and I enjoy the protein smoothies here and I also relish their energy balls for a quick boost.

2. Coffee Bar Gastown

Nestled in the heart of Gastown at 215 Carrall St, Coffee Bar Gastown is a blend of historic charm and modern conveniences. Known for its artisanal coffee and comfortable seating, the café offers ample outlets and strong Wi-Fi. It’s an ideal spot to get work done while soaking up the vibrant atmosphere of one of Vancouver’s most iconic neighbourhoods.

3. Xing Fu Tang Granville Station

*Update: As of February 2025, this location has closed, but you can still find some of the best bubble tea 🧋 in Vancouver and a cosy workspace at their Lansdowne, Richmond and Brentwood, Burnaby locations.

This one is for all my bubble tea lovers! Conveniently located at 799 Granville Street underground in Granville Station, Xing Fu Tang is a cozy spot famous for its delicious Taiwanese bubble tea. The café also caters to those needing a workspace, offering accessible outlets and reliable Wi-Fi. Enjoy a refreshing drink or a sweet treat while staying productive.

4. Kafka’s Coffee

Kafka’s Coffee, with two work-zone focused downtown locations at 377 E Hastings St and 341 W Cambie St, offers a spacious, inviting environment perfect for both relaxation and work. The café is well-regarded for its quality coffee and ample outlets, alongside stable Wi-Fi. It’s an excellent choice for anyone needing a comfortable place to focus and eat one of the best breakfast sandwiches in town meanwhile!

5. Timbertrain Coffee Roasters

Nestled at 311 W Cordova Street in the vibrant Gastown district, Timbertrain Coffee Roasters is a beloved spot for coffee enthusiasts. Renowned for its superb coffee, top-notch food, and stylish ambiance, this coffeehouse provides ample outlets and high-speed Wi-Fi. Its contemporary design and cozy seating make it a excellent workspace.

Situated at 319 Carrall St, East Van Roasters is renowned for its artisanal chocolates and excellent coffee. Although the name would suggest this café is located in East Vancouver, it’s actually right downtown bordering on the Gastown and Chinatown neighbourhoods right next door to Nelson the Seagull. 8. Deville Coffee – The Post

Deville Coffee inside The Post building on Dunsmuir is a cozy downtown spot for a relaxing coffee break or work session. Though Deville has locations on Seymour, Thurlow, and Burrard, this newest spot at 366 Dunsmuir is the quietest, with better chances for outlet seating. With plush chairs and warm lighting, it’s perfect for comfort and style, inviting extended visits. Ideal for laptop work, outlets are conveniently placed.
